Carbal Nebula

The Carbal Nebula is a huge gas cloud that is hundreds of light years wide, deep and tall, that separates the Arbrax sector from what has become known as imperial space. The Nebula was first encountered more than 20,000 years ago by Herglic explorers. The Hergliics barely explored the Nebula other than to note it as a major astrogation hazard.

The Nebula was finally explored roughly 5500 years ago. After several failed expeditions a route through was finally established. The nature of the Nebula and the extremely high rate of stellar drift encountered in this particular nebula required that a series of Sensor Buoys were required to make travelling the route even close to safe.

A Corellian colony ship travelled through the Nebula and founded The Star Kingdom of Valdemar. Following its founding and the Star Kingdom joining the Republic a series of stations were built along the route to allow for ships to safely complete the very long journey to and from the Star Kingdom.

The Star Kingdom was lost during the chaos of the clone wars and knowledge of the Star Kingdom has disappeared from data banks. Only the original information gathered by the Herglics still exist on the Nebular in the Astrogation banks.
