Teras Kasi
Teras Kasi Martial Arts:
Teräs Käsi, or “steel hands” in Basic, is an unarmed combat discipline. It was created more than 3000 years ago on the planet Bunduki by the Followers of Palawa, refugees of the planet Palawa, which was devastated earlier in a war. The Followers of Palawa studied the Force, even though they themselves were not necessarily Force-sensitive.
Teräs Käsi enabled a user to develop extreme speed, and an aptitude for anticipating strikes. In addition to this, Teräs Käsi taught non force sensitives how to close their minds to Jedi and Sith, thus protecting themselves from mental based attacks.
Teräs Käsi also had a developed set of fighting skills, and Nine Edicts. Teras Kasi is a rare art but recognised as one of the most effective in the known galaxy. Most martial arts champions are Teras Kasi practitioners.
Primary Edict (costs 20SP)
• Focussed Strikes – The character may split their Brawling skill dice adding the second pool to the damage they inflict. So with a Brawling skill of 7D the character could choose to place 5D in their skill pool and 2D bonus to damage. When using the technique the character cannot carry out any other actions in that round.
• Gain access to the following abilities: Elbow Smash, Instant Stun, and Power Block
Secondary Edict (costs 10SP)
• +1D bonus to Brawling
• Gain access to the following abilities: Instant Wound and Hold/Grapple
Tertiary Edict (costs 10SP)
• +1D bonus to Brawling Parry
• Gain access to the following abilities: Disarm and Weapon Block
Quaternary Edict (costs 10SP)
• +1D bonus to Dodge
• Gain access to the following abilities: Instant Stand and Reversal
Quinary Edict (costs 20SP)
• +2D bonus to Stamina
• +1D to strength for resisting brawling damage
• Gain access to the following abilities: Multiple Strikes
Senary Edict (costs 25SP)
• +2D Bonus when resisting Force Powers
• Gain access to the following abilities: Nerve Punch
Septenary Edict (costs 20SP)
• +1D to Brawling and Brawling Parry (stacks with earlier bonus for a total of +2D)
• Gain access to the following abilities: Instant Knockdown
Octonary Edict (costs 20SP)
• +1D to Dodge (stacks with earlier bonus for a total of +2D)
• Gain access to the following abilities: Flip and Headbutt
Nonary Edict (costs 25SP)
• +2D Bonus when resisting Force Powers (stacks with earlier bonus for a total of +4D)
• Gain access to the following abilities: Foot Sweep
Banned Abilities: Spinning Kick and Flying Kick
